Program Manager

Who are we looking for?

Our client requires the services of two Senior Programme Managers to work within their Project Management Office for an initial 6 to 12 months, with a strong possibility of extension. This role is hybrid with their offices being in Parktown, Johannesburg.

We are looking for a strategic thinker with experience working with Executives in the Financial services industry. The person will be working very closely with the head of Project Management Office and will be involved with projects and initiatives in Strategy, Asset Management, Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions and Data, so exposure to these areas is required. The successful consultant will also need to be able to work independently and cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

1. Planning and designing the project and programme and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
2. Ensuring the delivery of new products or services from projects is of the appropriate level of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements.
3. Defining the programme's governance structures in line with the organisation, PMO, programme and project, and any other structures.
4. Adopting solid financial management principles in managing the programme's budget on behalf of the Sponsor.
5. Supporting the business in obtaining services or products required by the project and programme from external service providers in line with RMA’s procurement processes.
6. Reporting the progress of the programme, covering both quantitative and qualitative reporting, at regular intervals to the required and various governance forums.
7. Strategic thinker with experience working with Executives in the Financial services industry.
8. Previous experience working in Strategy, Asset Management, Investments, Mergers & Acquisitions and Data.
