Requirements:

• Relevant three-year tertiary qualification
• Three (3) years’ relevant experience
• Proficiency in MS Office

Key Performance Areas:

• Facilitate the City-wide legislative commenting process
• Assist with administering the advocacy tracker, engaging routinely with the City's advocacy agenda
• Participate in the advocacy programme, including assisting to develop the advocacy toolkit
• Undertake ad hoc research requests to support strategy, policy, advocacy, by-law development, and strategic decision making
• Assist managing policies through the policy process
• Manage relationships within line departments to facilitate transversal and informed policy development
• Undertake routine policy and strategy analysis
• Support the development of diverse policy and strategy instruments
• Discuss, contextualise, and communicate research and analysis outputs verbally, in presentations, and in the form of written reports
• Handle routine administrative tasks to support the effective functioning of the Strategic Policy Branch
• Contribute inputs into the legal drafting process
