Professional Nurse
Job description
To plan and facilitate identified learning and development interventions to ensure competency of all nursing staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the competence of all nursing staff
- Ensure the correct application of nursing procedures and policies
- Identify training needs to guide the development of appropriate clinical training interventions
- Promote a culture of continuous professional development
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Post-graduate Diploma in Nursing Education
- Unit Specialty certificate or diploma where appropriate (e.g. Emergency Centre / Operating Theatre / Critical Care Unit)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 2 years’ Clinical experience as a professional nurse
- 1-2 years’ experience as a peer mentor
- 1-2 years’ experience as a Workplace assessor
