Professional Civil Engineer / Technologist

AfriCoast has an opening for a professional civil engineer or technologist in our Cape Town office who needs to meet the following minimum requirements:

Requirements

·BSc (Eng), B.Eng or B.Tech qualification from a recognized South African university;

·Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech (Eng) – essential;

·Registration with SACPCMP as Pr CPM will be an advantage;

·Minimum 11 years’ post-graduation experience in the planning, design, specification and contract administration of national, provincial or municipal arterial roads, stormwater infrastructure and other municipal services;

·Has acted as Contracts Engineer / Employer’s Agent on a minimum of four (4) road rehabilitation, road resurfacing or road upgrade projects;

·Has completed a minimum of three (3) projects using the GCC 2010 or GCC 2015 forms of contract. Experience with FIDIC forms of contract an advantage;

·South African citizen;

·Be able to work independently with minimal supervision;

·Has good leadership, management and communication skills;

·Must be able to run projects from inception to completion;

·Be fully proficient in AutoCad and Civil Designer;

·Experience with Civil 3D an advantage;

·Has a valid unendorsed driver’s license;

·No criminal record;
