Production Supervisor (42,5 weekly) - Prestige Clothing - Durban

An opportunity has become available for a Production Supervisor position to join the Prestige Clothing.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify training required to develop a multi-skilled production line.
2. Attend pre-production meetings prior to On-Line date.
3. Ensure line changeovers are done in the shortest possible time.
4. Set up the line according to the line balancing sheet.
5. Perform line balance to ensure full utilization of staff.
6. Ensure lines achieve hourly targets.
7. Follow the Production Plan and report deviations from the plan.
8. Minimize downtime by reporting faulty equipment immediately.
9. Ensure Bundle sheets information ties in with actual Cutwork delivered to the line.
10. Maintain WIP levels by ensuring minimum garments on workstations.
11. Report Not In Full non-conformances immediately.
12. Ensure styles are manufactured to required quality standards.
13. Ensure style is off-line 24 hours prior to ASN date and time.
14. Ensure deliveries are in full to Cutting Order and POM.
15. Maintain needle policy.
16. Discipline employees for misconduct or poor performance.
17. Accurately record downtime on MIS.
18. Perform capacity checks and performance boosting to achieve hourly targets.
19. Return all completed trims to the trim store after completion of style.

Requirements:

1. Grade 10.
2. Supervisory experience for 1 or more years.
3. Clothing industry experience would be advantageous.
4. Clear criminal record.
5. Garment construction knowledge.
6. Microsoft Office (Desirable).
7. Good contactable references.
