- Manage the shift team on production KPI’s
- Maintains morale and discipline of the team on shift
- Production: Meet volume and efficiency targets for PM 41 and PM 42 at the required quality
- SHEQ: High focus on water usage, fibre loss, Safety and Health issues, and complies with environmental and safety regulations
- Cost: Manage production, material and people costs
- Troubleshoot operational problems in the plant
- Liaises with Maintenance Foreman in order to carry out maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner
- Carry out plant inspections and ensure defects are rectified
- Assists the PTO with development of his/her team, training and Pass Out of personnel
- Act effectively as a first Line Manager
- Excellent technical problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within a team environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
Your profile
- Matric plus N4 (Supervisory Management)
- National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering Discipline
- BTech would be advantageous
- 7 - 10 years of experience in the Pulp and Paper industry
- 5 years’ experience in a heavy industry environment
- 1 – 2 Years Leadership experience would be advantageous
