THE JOB AT A GLANCE:
Contract Duration: Permanent
Responsible to manage the operational aspects of a production/Slicing department. Play a critical role in ensuring that the manufacturing meets its production targets by ensuring that the production and slicing process runs smoothly and efficiently. Drive and maintain Team Connect and Shop floor development system.

What You Will Do
- Supervising day-to-day operations of the administrative department and staff members
- Manage shopfloor and always ensure adequate coverage of operators
- Overseeing the production process, drafting a production schedule/bake plan and ensuring that it is adhered to
- Drive shift key performance indications
- Checking the quality of the products being produced to ensure they meet the required standards
- IR and coaching employees
- Overseeing the maintenance repair and replacement of production equipment to ensure minimal downtime
- Ensuring that health and safety regulations are always followed
- Identifying training needs and organizing training sessions for production workers
- Monitoring productivity rates and product standards and implementing Quality programs and Food Safety as per FSSC 22000
- Collaborating with other supervisors and staff to optimize productivity and efficiency
- Drive daily Team Connect sessions
- Communicate any issues or concerns to upper management in a timely manner
- Drive team engagement
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- National Diploma /NQF 4 in Production preferred
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience in a FMCG environment
- Knowledge of GMP, Food, Health & Safety and OIM will be an advantage
- Basic knowledge of production/slicing process and purpose of machines and ingredients
- Computer literate in MS package
- Experience in leading a team
