Production Supervisor

Our client, a leading meat wholesale supplier based in the Clayville, Olifantsfontein region is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team.

The successful candidate will perform the function of a supervisor, which includes but is not limited to monitoring and supervising the production staff.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1. Effective management of your production department
2. Manage daily production orders
3. Allocate production orders to responsible workers
4. Quality control within your department
5. Wastage control within your process
6. Hygiene and safety control within your department
7. Machine and equipment upkeep and maintenance
8. Daily production reports
9. Staff management within your department
10. Costing of products or batches on a daily basis
11. Prepare daily overtime reports
12. Product development when required
13. Weekly or monthly stock taking
14. Monitor and report on stock levels
15. Meeting daily production targets
16. Housekeeping within your production department
17. Time vs Throughput management
18. Leadership skills through your time management, attendance and work ethic
19. Ensuring all department staff abide by the company's policies and procedures
20. Ensuring all recipes and block tests are maintained and recorded
21. Communication of all issues with management

REQUIREMENTS

1. Matric (Grade 12)
2. Excellent leadership / management skills
3. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
4. Industry-related experience - optional
5. Good organizational and interpersonal skills
