Production Plant Maintenance Electrician (Clay Brick) – R Negotiable – Cape Town – Perm – Start asap – Open to all

POSITION INFO :

Our client in the brick manufacturing sector is looking to fill the above vacancy.

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

• Perform fault finding of production equipment including utilities and execute repair of breakdowns
• Perform scheduled maintenance (preventative and non-routine planned) on equipment and buildings
• Perform electrical component of production change overs
• Line monitoring
• Coordinate and plan maintenance related jobs including interaction and feedback
• Identify, analyze, propose and implement opportunities for improvement
• SHEQ responsibilities
• Responsible for noting changes / updates to electrical schematics for all assigned machinery
• Identify additional maintenance checks and procedures and improve where required

Minimum requirements :

• Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
• Valid Driver's license
• Qualified red seal trade tested electrician
• 3-5 years trade experience
• Previous experience in clay brick factory (advantageous)
• Fluent in Afrikaans & English (isi-Xhosa advantageous)
• Experience with PLC / VSD’s & automation
• Process control experience
• Knowledge of OHSA act
• Attention to detail (meticulous and accurate)
• Ability to work under pressure
• Problem solving skills (ability to identify faults / problems & determine possible solutions and fix faults)
• Willingness to work overtime and tend to call outs (when required)

Working hours :

7h00 – 17h00 Monday to Thursday

7h00 – 15h00 on Friday

Some production processes run 24 / 7 and will require call outs
