Production Manager (IM PET)

What You Will Enjoy Doing

Manage the production team.

Oversee And Coordinate Daily Production

1. Lead the area of IM PET and be responsible for the production team.
2. Ensure that all production-related processes are running efficiently and according to the defined framework.
3. Coordinate and monitor data capturing, ensure daily controls and deviation analysis to further improve are being carried out as per procedures.

Daily Management System and Improvements

1. Execute daily management system in your department and contribute to plants' DMS on a daily/weekly/monthly level.
2. Establish abnormality management and work in time on deficiencies to achieve the highest results.

Develop production schedules

1. Plans directs and assigns duties of manufacturing personnel.
2. Authorizes overtime/holidays etc., as necessary, meet production goals in cooperation with the line manager.

Be a reliable sparring partner internally and for the customer

1. Cooperate with related departments before, during and beyond your processes of responsibility (with Maintenance, Quality, Planning/Warehouse and Sales).
2. Maintaining support for production machines and equipment and enabling staff to perform autonomous maintenance.
3. Conduct/participate in problem-solving for recurring issues or customer complaints. Handle customer complaints in conjunction with QA.

Machine, Production Equipment Setup And New Articles

1. Ensure smooth sampling – according to ALPLA rules – of new moulds.
2. Perform proper change management.
3. Contribute to best machine/production equipment set up to maximise performance / TEEP.

LEAD PRODUCTION TEAM / YOUR AREA

1. Quality and (food) safety mindset.
2. Ensure safety, food safety and quality mindset as well as 5S.
3. Train staff and develop people.
4. Performance management & communication.
5. Act as a member of the plant management team.

What makes you great

1. Bachelor/Master or Diploma degree with a clear affinity to operations.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience in an international manufacturing company, preferably in plastic packaging.
3. Proven track of Leadership experience.
4. Deep understanding of cost calculation and performance metrics.
5. Professionalism and dedication to excellence in customer care.
6. Ability to work independently and with tight deadlines.
7. Willingness to work in a challenging environment.
8. Proficiency in English; other languages are of advantage.
