Production Manager/Farm Manager - Citrus

Pest management: pest and spraying;

Fertilizer program management, implementation and record keeping thereof.

Effective production, irrigation, harvesting and pruning processes;

HR labour management and productivity within budget and ensure that all practices are SIZA compliant;

Administration and record keeping of farming activities such as diesel controls;

Oversee general maintenance and neatness of farm and farming operations;

DAFF registrations and inspections;

Global Gap to ensure that all practices adhere to Global Gap specifications;

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in agriculture, or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
2. AVCASA certification;
3. Experience in farm production, more specifically citrus operations;
4. Computer literate including Excel, Outlook and MS Teams. FarmTrace will be advantageous;
5. Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, a third language will be advantageous;
6. Knowledge relating to compliance and health and safety standards such as SIZA, Global Gap and the management thereof;
7. Self-disciplined and detail oriented;
8. Systematic and good time management skills;
9. Between 5 - 7 Years of experience.
