Production Manager

Job Description:

Are you a seasoned professional in blow moulding, plastics, or manufacturing, with a passion for optimizing production processes and leading high-performing teams? We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to take charge of our manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Coordination:
   1. Plan and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.
   2. Allocate resources, including personnel and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
   3. Monitor production workflows, addressing bottlenecks and identifying areas for improvement.
   4. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company quality requirements.
2. Leadership and Team Management:
   1. Lead, train, and motivate a diverse production team.
   2. Conduct performance reviews, address gaps, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
   3. Manage workflow and discipline in line with company policies and industry best practices.
3. Health, Safety, and Quality:
   1. Enforce workplace safety standards and compliance with health regulations.
   2. Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols where applicable.
4. Reporting and Administration:
   1. Maintain accurate production records and reports.
   2. Communicate effectively with other departments to address issues and improve operations.

Requirements:

1. Education: Grade 12 (Matric) with an NQF Level 6 qualification in Production or Operations Management.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Production Manager role within blow moulding, plastics, or general manufacturing.
3. Skills:
   1. Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
   2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
   3. Problem-solving expertise and the ability to manage under pressure.
4. Knowledge:
   1. Comprehensive understanding of blow moulding and plastics manufacturing processes.
   2. Familiarity with health, safety, and quality control regulations in manufacturing.
