Production Foreman - CPT

• Ensure that production is done according to the Production Plan.
• Ensure that products produced are to an acceptable standard.
• Assign duties to workers and recommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
• Enforces healthy and safety regulations and ensures first-aid equipment is on hand and lead safety investigations.
• Ensure that all quality checks are done on shift and that records are kept.
• Immediately report any major breakdown or yield loss to the Production Manager/Senior Production Foreman.
• All WCM daily activities required.

Is this job for you?

The ideal candidate must have a N6 Tertiary engineering qualification or equivalent (Mechanical and/or Electrical). Relevant experience will be considered for internal applicants without the N6 qualification. 3 years supervisory experience within a manufacturing/plant environment is required.

Computer Literacy and WCM experience is needed for internal applicants. This role calls for a person who is good at communication, and project management experience will be advantageous. Artisan Professional registration must be obtained as per new regulation.

The primary task of the plant production foreman is to achieve production performance objectives in all areas of manufacturing while ensuring compliance with the required legislative framework and Group/Site policy.
