Production Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Manufacture, prepare, and/or wrap products according to specifications, standards, and daily/weekly budgets.
2. Correctly price random weight/loose selling items.
3. Check correct pricing, e.g., labels.
4. Conduct regular quality checks and ensure that stock is rotated. Damaged/expired stock is removed.
5. Prevent wastage, shrinkage, and damages.
6. Check temperatures and maintain the cold chain.
7. Ensure that hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards are maintained.
8. Ensure security procedures are adhered to.
9. Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards.
10. Approach and advise customers on the product, listen to customers’ requests, provide the required product or services, and handle customers in a courteous and professional manner.
11. Process all customer orders according to the correct procedures and service standards.
12. Promote products.
13. Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers.
14. Able to manufacture/produce various meat products, e.g., sausage, mince, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be able to communicate in English.
2. The incumbent may also be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
3. This position will require transferability between stores.
