About The Opportunity
As the Product Specialist Team Lead (Geology), based in our Bryanston Office in Johannesburg, your primary responsibility is to lead our team of Product Specialists to deliver high quality pre and post sales outcomes within the AMEE region.
You will assist the team to provide technical support, pre-sales assistance, client training, and service delivery to our new and existing customers. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading teams of 5-10 to optimise performance and provide managerial support.
- Developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships in tandem with Account Managers.
- Providing telephone, email, and face-to-face support for Micromine license holders.
- Ensuring enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised and resolved.
- BETA testing new products and versions, providing feedback on new features, and assessing impacts on support procedures and documentation.
- Conducting training with customers, as well as in-house training for new staff, including a mix of in-person and online sessions.
- Assisting the Sales team with technical support during pre-sales demonstrations, trade shows, and other promotional events.
About You
You will have a background within operational exploration or mining roles, or experience working for a mining technology company. Other key skills, experience, and qualifications include:
- The ability to write and speak in English; any other language skills are beneficial.
- A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or Geology.
- Expertise with general purpose mining software.
- An understanding of mining concepts such as mine planning, mine scheduling, resource modelling, and implicit modelling.
