Procurement Officer (FTC)

A leading M&E contractor is looking for a Procurement Officer to join the Procurement team on a fixed term, maternity leave cover contract.

The Procurement Officer will help develop and implement a category strategy across the indirect packages for the business. You will:

1. Be responsible for managing all indirect purchasing for the business.
2. Set up suppliers on the ERP system and manage the onboarding process.
3. Manage various internal and external stakeholder requirements.
4. Assist the Head of Procurement with dashboards and reporting.

Further Details

You will be managing a wide variety of indirect categories across multiple UK sites and managing senior stakeholders' national indirect procurement requirements as part of a 50+ national procurement team who manage £1bn+ UK spend per annum.

Candidate Requirements

Demonstrable track record of successfully deploying direct or indirect category strategies.

Minimum of 1+ year’s strategy procurement experience for any large complex company.

Ideally, you will currently be working as a Strategy / Category Buyer or an experienced Assistant Buyer who is looking for progression.

Strong negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills are required.

A relevant degree or CIPS is desirable.
