To oversee the procurement process, ensuring the cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and fostering strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
Source, negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor procurement KPIs and generate regular reports.
Manage supplier relationships, resolve disputes and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and plan purchasing activities.
Optimize supply chain operations to minimize risk and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and regulations.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery and innovation.
Lead and mentor a team of buyers or procurement officers.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
Professional certification such as CIPS, CPSM or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum of 5+ years experience in procurement with at least 2+ years in a managerial role.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of industry trends and global sourcing strategies.
