A leading tech company in battery technology, renewable energy, and remote monitoring seeks a skilled Procurement and Logistics Officer. You’ll manage sourcing, vendor relationships, inventory, and logistics to support seamless operations. Key duties include coordinating local and international logistics, handling import/export documentation, and ensuring efficient workflows. Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams will align procurement and logistics with business goals.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Diploma or degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
2. Familiarity with INCO terms and compliance standards (e.g., PVOC)
3. Understanding of air and shipping transport logistics is advantageous
4. Experience in the telecommunications industry’s operational and equipment needs is an advantage
5. Valid driver’s license and access to own reliable vehicle
6. Strong negotiation and communication skills
7. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
8. Knowledge of supply chain management principles
9. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
10. Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
12. Comfortable working in a standard office environment with occasional fieldwork to visit suppliers or attend meetings

Duties and Responsibilities:

Procurement

1. Source and procure equipment, materials, and services to support operations
2. Ensure cost efficiency and adherence to quality standards
3. Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and contract compliance
4. Proactively communicate with suppliers to prevent delays in order fulfilment
5. Provide detailed costing information for management approval
6. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the manufacturing team to avoid disruptions
7. Request supplier quotations and generate purchase orders

Logistics

1. Prepare and manage documentation for exports and imports, including compliance certificates
2. Expedite orders and resolve potential delays through proactive stakeholder communication
3. Prepare status updates and logistics performance reports
4. Oversee logistics operations, including local transportation and ad hoc imports, in collaboration with freight agents
