Procurement & Logistics Officer - Western Cape

Job Summary
Aid in the identification of suitable suppliers and contractors to encourage effective procurement procedures.
Continuously assess and enhance supplier performance, adhering to the relevant Service Level Agreement.
Cultivate positive supplier relationships and regularly reevaluate pricing agreements.
Forecast and manage consumables needs and consumption.
Place orders for consumables and raw materials.
Vigilantly track delivery schedules to ensure punctuality.
Exercise oversight over expenses, comparing them against approved budgets.
Address and resolve any discrepancies in orders with suppliers.
Coordinating with both external and internal transporters to organise dispatches and collections.
Verifying and maintaining accurate paperwork, ensuring proper filing of documents.
Ensuring proper labeling and packing of pallets before dispatch.
Providing regular updates to customers regarding the status of their shipments.
Monitoring transport costs versus recoveries.
Notifying the warehouse clerk about incoming collections at the factory.

Skills & Experience :

1. Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing experience
2. MS Excel
3. Work in a high pressured and fast-paced environment

Qualification :

1. Matric
2. Diploma in Supply Chain Management (advantageous)
