Position Overview
This position is responsible for executing the Procurement and Repairable Spares strategy and ensuring alignment with Tronox's overall Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy and business plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized Business/Commercial Degree in Procurement or related field
- Computer literate (MS Office Suite)
- SAP MM knowledge
- Code B driver’s license
- Fluency in English
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in a supervisory capacity in Supply Chain
Knowledge & Skills
- Procurement skills and knowledge of best practices
- Extensive knowledge of BBBEE and Mining Charter requirements
- Knowledge of Repairable Spares process and best practices

Primary Responsibilities
- Embrace a culture focused on safety in all SCM operations.
- Ensure data integrity and manage buying processes effectively.
- Control requisitions and purchase orders in alignment with Tronox governance.
- Identify best practice tools to drive procurement excellence.
- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations, track supplier performance, and manage supplier relations.
- Ensure sound evaluation criteria for quotes/tenders.
- Source products locally and internationally, ensuring quality and optimal cost.
- Negotiate optimal supply conditions with suppliers.
- Source new vendors and assess price and quality of products.
- Guide direct reports to adhere to procurement policies and procedures.
- Oversee supplier relationship management to mitigate risks.
- Develop and maintain an Expediting Plan and Procedure.
- Promote an inclusive environment maximizing individual contributions.
- Manage performance and development plans for subordinates.
- Oversee compliance with procurement policies and enhance efficiency.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement records are integrated and maintained in the SAP system.
- Implement and report on a Strategic B-BBEE Procurement Plan.
