The Job

A key role for a Procurement Coordinator has become available at our company, one of the leading distributors and specialists in Broadband, Wireless, Networking, and VoIP brands.

About the Position

This procurement coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the procurement process from internal requirements to receiving orders at our premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Updates: Supplier pricing updates are recorded in Acumatica.
  • Purchase Order Processing: Local and international purchase orders are processed with correct incoterms and named places.
  • Proforma Invoices: Proforma invoices/order confirmations are submitted to Accounts for Cash in Advance Suppliers.
  • ETA Updates: ETA updates are made in Acumatica for shipments in transit.
  • Shipments: Forwarders are notified of shipments for bookings to be made.
  • Clearing Instructions: Clearing instructions are completed for Customs clearing and check clearing documents for correctness.
  • Freight Estimates: Estimates for freight are obtained from forwarders.
  • Tracking: International parcels are tracked and traced.
  • Local Supplier Orders: Collection arrangements are made for local supplier orders placed if not delivered by them.
  • Supplier Relationships: Multiple contact relationships are built with suppliers.
  • Timely Completion: All processes for duties assigned are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Workplace Safety: Workplace health and safety requirements are maintained.
  • Productivity Evaluation: Evaluations and recommendations for changes in work methods are made to increase productivity in department or inter-departmental.
  • Customer Service: Excellent supplier and customer service is ensured.
  • Document Archiving: Documents are archived per year.

Requirements

  • Languages: Proficiency in English and Afrikaans is required.
  • Qualifications: A completed Matric and qualifications in Logistics or Supply Chain, as well as Procurement, are necessary.
  • Transportation: Own reliable transport with a valid driver's license is required.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and listening communication skills are essential.
  • Planning and Execution: Planning and execution skills are necessary.
  • Standards of Conduct: Standards of conduct must be maintained.
  • Cultural Awareness: Cultural and political awareness and sensitivity are required.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility is necessary.
  • Work Ethics: Sound work ethics are demonstrated.
  • People Skills: People skills are essential.
  • Service Skills: Supplier and customer service skills are necessary.
  • Organization: Well-organized individuals are preferred.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starters who do not need full-time supervision are ideal.
  • Safety Practices: Adherence to safety practices is expected.

Package and Remuneration

The position offers a competitive package with a salary range of R20,000.00 to R25,000.00 CtC Package Per Month. The successful candidate will be based permanently in Centurion.
