Process Technician
We are looking for a Process Technician for our site in Tulisa Park, South Africa. As a Process Technician, you will perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and installation of equipment under regular supervision and in a timely manner to minimize disruptions of site operations. In this exciting role you will:
Preventative Maintenance:
You will perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting and/or repairs of production and facility equipment, proactively identifying and resolving recurring maintenance issues in the assigned area of activity.
Electronic and Mechanical Installations:
You will conduct electrical or mechanical installations, repairs, and troubleshooting of motors, instrumentation, and/or controls.
Safety:
You will work in accordance with all relevant requirements including, but not limited to GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines. You will maintain a level of housekeeping/sanitation/food safety and safety that meets Company’s standards and guidelines.
Lean:
You will participate in lean activities.
Ad Hoc:
You will be required to perform other tasks as assigned.
Your Professional Profile includes:
• Minimum N4.
• Must be qualified with a recognized trade test (red seal).
• In addition, knowledge of the following: compressors, boilers, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Overall work experience of 5+ years in FMCG as an electrician/Millwright.
• Experience in fault finding and repair of electrical systems, including mechanical knowledge.
• Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and equipment for installation, disassembly, and testing of electronic, pneumatic, and electrical devices.
• Panel wiring.
• Ability to interpret and understand electrical drawings.
• Demonstrate the ability of fault finding techniques (electrical and mechanical).
• Basic understanding of continuous improvement.
• Must be available during weekends as required.
