Process Engineer II (12 months contract)

Description:

To deal with and influence the more strategic and tactical aspects of discovering, validating, documenting, and communicating business-process-related knowledge through modelling, simulating, and analysing current and future states. Focus is on complex business outcomes and technical aspects, in line with the business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Above average computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
2. Scoping, sizing, and planning all business aspects of a solution and the associated project effort and dependencies.
3. Defining and tailoring the business/process analysis approach at project life cycle level.
4. Experience in facilitating workshops with business users (up to executive level) to gather requirements, generate ideas, and validate designs.
5. Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst involved with assessing, mapping, and optimizing business processes.
6. Must have been involved in the delivery of formal projects implementing business process change that included the application of process automation and document management technologies.
7. Knowledge of and experience in applying formal business process modelling or business analysis methodologies.
8. A deep understanding of the requirement for end-to-end business processes and the issues related to process performance in a traditional organization is essential.
9. Experience in applying process modelling standards such as BPMN and ECP.
10. Experience in projects involving formal Change Management and an understanding of its importance in business process transformation.
11. Knowledge of the concepts of Enterprise Architecture and a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) would be an advantage.
12. Experience in using Use Cases to specify requirements (Business and System).
13. Knowledge of UML in order to collaborate with Systems Analysts and architects in the production of design specifications.
14. Understanding of data modelling and the ability to perform basic SQL database queries would be an advantage.
15. Experience within the financial services environment would be an advantage.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
2. Project Management certification preferred.
3. Six Sigma or Lean or equivalent type certification preferred.
