Process Controller Pot Stills

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

1. Efficiently operate the Copper Pot Stills on a 12-hour shift basis
2. Continuously monitor and manage the distillation processes
3. Organoleptic evaluation of distillate on a continuous basis to ensure quality product
4. Ensure strict loss control on the distillation processes
5. Clean, repair and do maintenance on stills and equipment in the stillhouse
6. Ensure accurate record keeping of required documentation
7. Ensure compliance with OHSAct standards
8. Drawing and testing of production tank samples
9. Participate in TPM activities (Continuous Improvement)
10. Participate in effective problem solving
11. Ad hoc duties as and when required

The successful candidate must have the following attributes, qualifications, skills, and experience:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent preferably with mathematics & science
2. A relevant tertiary level qualification will be advantageous
3. A minimum of 3 years general Cellar experience
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
5. Accuracy and attention to detail orientated
6. Excellent Health
7. Ability and willingness to conduct sensory evaluations
8. Computer literacy (MS Office)
9. Relevant experience in a distillation environment would be highly advantageous
10. Willingness to work irregular hours on a shift basis (evenings and weekends included)
11. Own or access to reliable transport
12. Punctuality and attendance reliability
