Purpose of Job

To coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line, through control panel management and more complex troubleshooting.

Key Accountabilities

1. Provides adequate feedback to supervisor on work progress.
2. Participates in risk assessments according to legislation and company requirements to improve safety.
3. Maintains good housekeeping and adheres to waste disposal procedures.
4. Works independently.
5. Understands and knows the business, drives and KPIs.
6. Applies and maintains safety in a working environment.
7. Participates in shift handover meetings.
8. Identifies personal training and development needs, and incorporates into PDP with group leader's approval.
9. Conducts on-the-job coaching of learners.
10. Acts as SME in presentations on specific plant equipment.
11. Conducts IMS inspections to maintain and improve plant sustainability.
12. Works effectively in a team.
13. Plays an appropriate main role during emergency situations to get the plant back online.
14. Gives and receives feedback to other disciplines (partners on daily issues).
15. Gives input at toolbox talks to improve plant safety.

Formal Education

Matric/N3 with Maths, English & Physical Science

CHIETA NQF Level 2 Qualification
