PRINT ROOM MANAGER

SALARY: R15000- R20000 NEG depending on experience

Monitor and manage the entire printing and pressing operation end-to-end and ensure production standards and customer expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

• At least 3 years management experience in a similar position.
• Deep understanding of printing technology, inks, printing chemicals, and printing equipment and processes.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication both written and verbal within own team and across other departments.
• High level of accuracy and attention to quality control.
• Proficiency in using data analysis tools to analyze complex data and translate it into production reports.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing production demands and new technologies.

Processes include:

• Sublimation printing & heat pressing.
• DTF printing & PU Heat Pressing.
• Laser cutter.
• Embossing machine.
• Developing colors and prints to match customer expectations.
• Monitoring production of samples and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Monitoring and controlling housekeeping and overall quality of production.
• In charge of Research and Development and print techniques.
• Implementing and enforcing improvements.
• Working with relevant teams to action bulk printing/pressing.
• Motivating, training, and managing printing employees.
• Liaising with internal department heads and other work centers to ensure production and customer expectations are met.
• Ensuring all printing equipment is properly maintained and in good working order (pro-active).
• Leading and managing printing and press operators.
• Ensuring that the print and press room operates in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Analyzing production data and identifying trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Documenting and implementing standard operating procedures to optimize production efficiency and quality.
• Generating relevant reports on print and press room productivity for management’s review.
