Role Overview
The Salesforce Digital Account Executive is a subject matter expert and trusted advisor who works with top South Africa prospects and customers to evangelize our data, marketing, and commerce platform solutions that deliver relevant, personalized journeys across channels and devices.

We are seeking an experienced quota-carrying sales executive who can work both as part of a broader Account Team and as an Individual Contributor driving self-generated sales opportunities focused on the full Salesforce Data, Marketing, and Commerce technology stack.

Responsibilities

  1. Be the subject matter authority when it comes to top SA companies leveraging Salesforce Data, Marketing, and Commerce solutions within their enterprise.
  2. Educate the broader Account team on all Salesforce Data, Marketing, and Commerce technology capabilities.
  3. Collaborate with the Account and Territory team to identify target accounts.
  4. Create and drive revenue within a specified region and/or list of named accounts.
  5. Generate business opportunities through networking, cold-calling, and prospecting into current Salesforce customers.
  6. Lead the sales cycle for the entire Salesforce Data, Marketing, and Commerce technology stack, including lead generation, deal strategy, pricing and packaging, and assistance with deal closure.
  7. Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  8. Drive brand awareness, campaigns, and lead generation via networking, associations, etc.
  9. Maintain accurate account and opportunity forecasting.
  10. Ensure customer happiness and retention.

Requirements

  1. For locations outside of South Africa, regular travel to South Africa as this will be your assigned market.
  2. You have a passion for selling transformative enterprise software or technology solutions to C-level executives into accounts of more than employees.
  3. You have several years of experience in software or technology sales, account management, and enterprise software sales.
  4. You have a point of view on industry trends and will be able to build a narrative of digital transformation.
  5. Data, Digital Marketing, and/or Commerce sales experience and experience with relevant technology preferred.
  6. Strong preference for prior experience with the full Salesforce Marketing Technology Stack - Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Data Cloud.
  7. Consistent track record of sales excellence working as an Individual Contributor and in a team environment.
  8. Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment in high-growth mode.
  9. Professional presence and eye for business.
  10. Experience selling at the "C" level – Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Digital Officer, Chief Commerce Officer, Chief Data Officer is a plus.
  11. Ability to give high-level/overview product demonstrations and be considered the product expert in the sales cycle.
  12. Work collaboratively with the solution engineering team to create compelling demonstration scenarios.
