Job Description
To support business profitability, customer acquisition and retention through appropriate pricing reviews in line with the pricing mandate.
To provide front-line pricing query resolution for a wide range of products and to maintain high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and utilise opportunities for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets.
- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation.
- Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards.
- Assist in developing pricing models by performing analyses and manipulations through data extracted from relevant sources and submit to various committees and stakeholders to inform business decisions.
- Present data in a manner that is easily understood by various stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc requests e.g. trend analysis, behaviour analysis and compare with finance forecast / actuals.
- Perform peer review of other pricing models.
- Attend to pricing queries and refunds received through various channels and manage in line with agreed service level agreement (SLAs) as and when required.
- Resolve pricing queries by providing required advice, or attending to and resolve issues on the system.
- Conduct maintenance and data integrity checks of the pricing database and maintain all new pricing codes on the system.
- Ensure the Product Schedule is always up-to-date.
- Perform collateral updates.
- Test all exception files against source to ensure the rules are correct where required.
- Monitor system updates via the exception reports.
- Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and governance requirements in area of accountability.
- Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of end-to-end processes aligned to the customer journey map.
- Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement.
- Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
- Monitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficiencies.

- Perform market landscape review (including competitor analysis, micro / macro-economic environment), market conduct, costs and behaviour change for pricing review across the relevant BU / pillar / segment.
- Utilise relevant pricing models to assess and grant pricing reviews judgmentally over and above system pricing rates, in line with approved pricing mandate.
- Conduct appropriate manipulation and analysis of data to proactively identify and meet needs of the business for the purpose of future work and to ensure high information-quality and reliability across the business.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand future pricing needs.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to build requirements and define pricing solutions.
- Provide required pricing training to front-line.
- Adhere to pricing model policies, standards, frameworks, and governance process.
- Ensure own ethical usage of information that complies to restrictions applied for privacy and sensitivity classification.
- Understand and ensure implementation and adherence to Privacy business requirements, legislation and policy.
- Ensure own ethical usage of information and ensure reporting of any Information Privacy Incidents and escalate appropriately for resolution of Privacy and Protection audit findings, complaints, incidents, investigations and Privacy and Protection assessments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability.
- Ensure implementation of relevant policies, governance and practice standards across the business.
- Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements.
- Ensure compliance is adopted in terms of systems and procedures as laid out by organisation and review in response to audit findings and changes.
- Develops an understanding of risks and risk management approaches.
- Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks.
- Educates others and makes suggestions for improvements.
- Networks and participates in specialist risk forums where required.
- Provide input into business requirements.
- Provide advice on pricing related matters to assist with delivery of the project.
- Monitor the progress of projects and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders on the status thereof.
- Develop, encourage and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation.
- Display and encourage an appreciation of teamwork and inclusivity.
- Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.
Requirements
4-5 years experience within a similar role
Bachelor of Commerce Qualification
Good understanding of Pricing
