Job Advert Summary: The Analyst – Technical and Application testing is responsible for designing, developing, and executing quality assurance and control processes, test strategies, test plans, and test cases that verify software application conformance to defined acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities:

1. Linking test cases to business/systems requirements to ensure traceability.
2. Execute test cases, log defects, and create test ware.
3. Support business users during user acceptance testing.
4. Develop test plan, approach, and scope.
5. Develop Test Scenarios.
6. Provide input to standard test metrics and reporting.
7. Manage Application Defect Management.
8. Work with Business to influence and monitor User Acceptance Testing.
9. Ensure Application Test Plans and Strategies are implemented.
10. Translate all business requirements into testable work packages.
11. Lead testing operations, acting as coaches and advisors to their teams.
12. Contribute to Optimal Test Resource deployment.
13. Prepare all required test data for application testing and ensure accuracy for various scenarios.
14. Execute test processes and test cases based on created scenarios.
15. Contribute to the evaluation of new technologies and continuous improvement of application testing.
16. Write Test Execution and Reporting for all planned application testing.
17. Develop test case steps/procedure in an explicit and unambiguous manner.
18. Liaise with the Business to develop Technical Business Specifications for all applications.
19. Organise and synthesise information provided by stakeholders.
20. Support the Development of Functional and Test Specifications.
21. Execute User Acceptance Testing for all application testing.
22. Develop testing scenarios and scripts, identify and document functional test cases.
23. Review User Acceptance Testing Results and ensure application systems requirements are being addressed.
24. Develop test report after every application testing.

Preferred Minimum Education and Experience:

Education: Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent. ISTQB Foundation Level certification (CTFL).

Experience: 3 - 5 Years in software testing, writing complex testing strategies and plans, technical testing reviews, and application solution test designs. Proven success in technical application testing and experience in planning and executing UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and RT (Regression Testing).

Critical Competencies: Experience of full software quality assurance lifecycle, Test Lead position, leading a test automation team, and managing the creation of a Project Test Strategy. Ability to interact with various specialists internally or externally to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Additional Requirements: Extended hours as and when required. Travel as and when required.
