Pre-Sales Engineer (Enterprise Infrastructure) – Johannesburg

As a Pre-Sales Engineer for Enterprise Infrastructure, you will be a key player in the team.

You will drive the execution and advancement of our Enterprise portfolio strategy by leveraging your technical expertise to advise customers, design integrated solutions, and contribute to achieving revenue and profit targets. You will serve as a technology evangelist, trusted advisor, and thought leader, delivering our message through impactful customer engagement.

Type: Permanent

Salary: R60 – R70 CTC per month

Area: Onsite in Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain current industry certifications and stay updated on the latest developments.
2. Represent our organization at customer events and conferences, fostering strong relationships.
3. Assist in customer enablement to drive portfolio value and provide training to sales teams and customers.
4. Coach and support fellow Pre-Sales engineers and new sales personnel.
5. Propose and professionally demonstrate our portfolio products through presentations, whiteboarding, demos, and proof-of-concepts.
6. Collaborate on creating and presenting business cases to C-level executives and technical partners.
7. Promote our portfolio through customer engagement.
8. Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers.
9. Stay informed about industry trends and our product portfolio.
10. Develop internal and external business networks for sales success and customer satisfaction.
11. Participate in tender evaluations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
12. Ensure accurate pricing of products/solutions according to vendor and customer needs.
13. Assist in meeting revenue and profit targets for our portfolio.

Minimum Requirements:

Experience and Knowledge:

1. Proven track record in technical Pre-Sales for enterprise infrastructure and software.
2. Strong background in enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualization, converged, hyper-converged, and cloud infrastructures.
3. Over 5 years of experience in designing infrastructure solutions.
4. Demonstrable knowledge of enterprise solution design considerations and tools.
5. Relevant accreditation/certification in convergence technology.
6. Ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels, including C-level.

Skills and Education:

1. Matric with mathematics is essential.
2. A tertiary qualification or relevant diploma in Business and/or IT is advantageous.
3. Excellent computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
4. Strong verbal and written business communication skills.
5. Effective sales presentation skills.
6. Organized with good time management and deadline driven.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
8. Passion for continuous learning about technology products.
9. Confident, self-motivated, and energetic.
