JOB SUMMARY:

Main Purpose of Position:

The Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for aligning with specified technologies and designing and building accurate technology configurations and solutions by understanding partner technologies.

This role involves identifying client requirements, supporting service providers with Dell, Lenovo, Fortinet, Arista, and Sophos solutions, staying current with product releases and certifications, and articulating brand roadmaps and solutions to Account Managers. The Pre-Sales Engineer will also assist clients with product trends, consult on rolling out new products for business growth, and handle technical tasks for the brands.

KPA & PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

  • Conduct weekly engagements with vendor technical counterparts to stay abreast of the latest technologies and updates.
  • Ensure proactive communication and collaboration with vendors to enhance technical knowledge and partnerships.

Technical Sales Engagement

  • Provide technical support during pre – and post-sales activities as required by the brand.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to articulate relevant brands’ roadmaps and solutions to meet client needs.

Certification Requirements

  • Perform technical tasks accurately and within specified Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Demonstrate precision and attention to detail in all technical activities and solutions.

Communication:

  • Provide comprehensive communication to all stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams. Keep all relevant parties informed about product trends, new features, and any technical updates.

REQUIREMENTS

Internal training associated with competencies:

  • During the first week of your employment, you’ll be presented with a meticulously crafted learning map designed to guide you through your on-the-job training experience seamlessly.
  • Matric
  • Proven experience in pre-sales engineering or a related technical role.
  • 3 -4 years of technical experience in data storage, networking, and cybersecurity.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have own car.

Nice to have certifications:

  • Any storage management, networking or cybersecurity certifications.

Office Requirements

  • Work-from-office environment.
  • Semi-formal dress code.
  • Working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Excellent international business language skills (English), both written and verbal.
  • Reliable transport to and from the office.

  • This is a permanent position subject to a three-month probationary period.
