Job Role

The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving the Regional sales and profitability goals. This person will be responsible for the customer satisfaction and market share within the geographical region.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing quality leadership for the internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding the company’s values always: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  2. Achieving the Region’s revenue and profitability quotas for the companies’ products as they are sold into all customer segments within the Region.
  3. Establishing an environment and foundation for future sales growth.
  4. Selling value and solutions to the customers.
  5. Directing the selling activities within the Region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions.
  6. Prioritising effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  7. Setting the vision for the Region and developing and adhering to a business plan to attain this vision.
  8. Evaluating market trends and gathering competitive information, identifying trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  9. Special projects as assigned.
  10. Call Reports and CRM Loading.

Qualifications and Competencies Required:

  1. Working knowledge of forklifts and selling pre-owned forklifts within an assigned sales territory.
  2. Proven record of achievement in prior sales positions.
  3. Strong closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus.
  4. Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilise it to present the features and benefits to customers.
  7. Knowledge of the Materials handling & cleaning industry, a plus.
  8. Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programmes.
  9. Knowledge of Autoline/CRM system is an added advantage.
  10. Readiness for extensive travel in the region.
  11. Education and Experience: Matric plus qualification supported by 5 years of sales experience.
