Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant to join our team in the retail sector. The successful candidate will support the pharmacist in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services to our customers, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently to customers.
• Provide information and advice on the proper use of medications and potential side effects.
• Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain accurate records.
• Perform administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions and handling customer inquiries.
• Support the pharmacist in conducting health checks and wellness screenings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

• Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification is essential.
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and services.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and other related technology.
