Full job description

Responsibilities include:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.
• Cut holes to accommodate pipes and fittings.
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes in place.
• Join pipes with couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, or cement.
• Inspect and test pipes for leaks.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Perform preventive maintenance to gas outlets, fire suppression sprinkler systems, lawn sprinklers, plumbing fixtures, etc.
• Attend residential, commercial, and industrial settings to solve plumbing or drain service issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients and suppliers.
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
• Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
