Sanlam Private Wealth crafts customised investment portfolios for high net worth private clients, charitable institutions, trusts and corporate entities.

What will you do?

  1. 1st line business support helpdesk for systems like XPLAN via 4Me (Business processes and tools)
  2. Responsible for providing trading support, by monitoring trade execution, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring timeous communication to branches on queries raised or picked up by the team.
  3. System navigation and user support
  4. Investigate, analyse, resolve and advise on support issues in XPLAN support environment (not limited to but main focus)
  5. Building relationships with end users to continuously look at how we can improve their daily challenges
  6. Regression testing of UAT and production upgrades
  7. Conduct system monitoring & morning checks and mapping of accounts
  8. Proactive monitoring of daily recons to ensure client portfolios are always balanced
  9. Liaise with vendors to ensure timeous problem resolution
  10. Work with project teams to investigate complex issues, identify and implement solutions
  11. Work in partnership with other departments ensuring correct allocation of issues raised by the business
  12. Maintain appropriate levels of procedural documentation
  13. Adhere to appropriate departmental procedures and practices (such as auditing requirements, control procedures and incident management procedures)
  14. Communicate with end users and building relationships
  15. Data analysis: identify trends and recommend possible solutions

Qualification and experience

  1. Tertiary qualification or a relevant qualification
  2. XPLAN application experience advantageous
  3. Problem solving exposure at business level
  4. Commitment to performing routine as well as investigation/analysis work tasks
  5. Ability to solve complex problems
  6. Understand and develop the business support team competency
  7. Financial Service / Stockbroking experience beneficial

Knowledge and skills

  1. Excellent communication skills [English / Afrikaans] both written and verbal
  2. Strong numerical orientation
  3. Critical and analytical capability
  4. Self-motivated, proactive, taking ownership of problems until they are resolved
  5. Highly organized with a high level of customer focus
  6. Accurate and detail orientated
  7. Ability to perform well under pressure and show maturity, confidence and resilience
  8. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
