A top client with a strong presence in Africa is seeking to expand its DevOps team with an experienced and skilled Intermediate DevOps Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team and work on cutting-edge projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between Development and IT Operations by deploying and supporting web applications and databases (Oracle and Postgres). You will also be working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met.

Skills & Experience

1. Minimum 2+ years of experience with SQL scripting
2. Experience deploying and managing Linux OS systems
3. Ability to test deployed applications and troubleshoot config errors
4. Knowledge of Networking & DNS
5. Experience with Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
6. Familiarity with DevOps and Agile practices
7. Understanding of the development lifecycle from design to support
8. Experience with Ubuntu, NGINX, Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, and Git

Qualifications

1. Minimum 3-year related IT qualification
2. Linux certifications are a plus
