Plant Safety Officer - Mining

Hire Resolve's client is seeking a qualified Plant Safety Officer to join their reputable mining company located in Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees at the plant site by enforcing regulations and creating a culture of safety among all personnel.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of plant operations
2. Develop and implement safety training and educational programs for employees
3. Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
4. Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance
5. Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with all regulations
6. Promote a culture of safety and continuously improve safety practices on-site

Requirements

1. Grade 12
2. Diploma in Safety Management
3. 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer within the construction & lifting/hoist industry
4. SACPCMP registered
5. NEBOSH Certificate
6. SAMTRAC Certificate
7. ISO45001 & ISO 9001 implementation
8. HIRA training and Rcat Fall Protection Planner
