Our client in the Agricultural Industry based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Planning Coordinator.


Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of a National Diploma.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be innovative and detail-oriented.
  • System driver and computer literate.
  • Capable of managing multiple and high-priority tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure that daily operations run efficiently.
  • Ability to manage processes effectively and meet firm deadlines.
  • Strong analytical minded.

Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:

Fresh fruit supply and demand:

  • Request and review all supply and demand forecast integrity and reliability.
  • Construct a 4-week demand and supply forecast to be discussed with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed plan for following week's pack execution to be discussed and signed-off by relevant stakeholders.
  • Create, consolidate and distribute detailed packing Instructions for all relevant packhouses.
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders up to date with packing progress on a daily basis.

Logistics:

  • Create and distribute detailed logistics plan in order to firm cold room capacity and vessel bookings.
  • Review and update logistics plan daily.
  • Liaise with the logistics team to get vessel stack dates for key customer/programs on weekly basis and communicate with relevant Packhouse Managers.

Planned vs Actuals:

  • Monitor order packing progress x3 daily.
  • Track and review customer programme fulfilment daily.

Integrated Business Planning - Local Supply:

  • Create a detailed YTD and ROY supply forecast report for Management.

Material Planning:

  • Define carton stock requirement per week per packhouse.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement within planning and cross functional departments.

Other Tasks:

  • Material Code creation – SAP.
  • Visit packhouses / farms on weekly basis to build good relationships and assist with implementing processes to align with our way of working.
