Job description

Well-established automotive company based in East London are seeking a qualified and experienced applicant to join their dynamic team.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 2 years working in Logistics Department
  2. Experience in automotive environment (advantageous)
  3. Initiative, self-starter with high energy levels
  4. Good computer skills – MS Word; MS Excel and Email
  5. Ability to handle pressure
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Good analytical ability
  8. Valid Hyster License
  9. Knowledge of BAAN will be advantageous
  10. Be prepared to work shifts/weekends when required
  11. Sound knowledge of warehouse and inventory management processes

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Working in the Logistics Department
  2. Responsible for housekeeping
  3. Ensure FIFO system is adhered to
  4. Ensure Production Plan is updated and followed
  5. Closing of Production Orders
  6. Control inventory movements between Warehouse and Production
  7. Control Line Supply Production
  8. Daily dispatching of customer requirements as per call offs
  9. Daily attendance and participation in SBU meetings
  10. Daily liaison with Logistics team
  11. Daily interaction with Production
  12. Provide support function to Technical
  13. Be acquainted with all relevant SPI’s (ISO 14000, ISO 18000)
