Facility: Life St George's Hospital

Position: Pharmacist Students | 2nd and 3rd year in 2025

Various vacancies exist for Pharmacy Students (in their 2nd and 3rd year of study in 2025), based at Life St George’s Hospital in Gqeberha, reporting to Adaire Begley, Senior Pharmacist.

The successful candidate(s) will be expected to work evening shifts during the week, and weekday and evening shifts over weekends.

Critical Outputs

• General housekeeping and administrative tasks in the pharmacy as specified by the pharmacy manager.
• Assist with unpacking of medicines.
• Picking, packing and dispatching of ward orders.
• Assist with cycle counts and stock takes of pharmaceutical stock.
• Assist with the compounding of pharmaceutical preparations.
• Assist with functions in pharmacy according to their scope with SAPC.

Requirements

• Must have passed first year B.Pharm degree.
• Must be registered with SA Pharmacy Council as a student.
• Must be a South African Citizen.
• The ideal incumbent should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and work well in a team.
• Must be permanently based in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha and have own transport.
