Job description

Successfully achieve annual Retrofit Order Intake and Sales Budgets by marketing, tendering, selling and effectively executing orders on time. Develop customer base by both maintaining existing customer relationships and by furthermore developing 3rd party customer relationships.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain good KAM, customer, and supplier relationships.
  2. Prepare annual Retrofit Budget, propose both individual KPI’s as well as that of Key Account Manager related Retrofit KPI’s.
  3. Market, tender and sell products to achieve Order Intake Budgets.
  4. Drive the Retrofit Process forward by identifying and involving relevant company role players (KAM’s, Engineering Personnel, PSC Personnel etc) when required, while championing the process linked to creation of opportunities on Salesforce, loading of GFER’s and submission of requests linked to both technical and commercial assistance as and when required.
  5. Effectively identify and produce customer value proposition and financial justifications, thereby supporting complex retrofit opportunities and KAM linked to opportunity.
  6. Update Salesforce Opportunities through until retrofit bid/quote is submitted.
  7. Provide monthly RFC OI feedback.
  8. Support tendering team with compilation of the SAP bid and TOA process when required.
  9. Complete upfront process (OED) initiate kickoff meetings until handover to operations is completed.
  10. Monitor the execution of all Retrofit orders by working with other members of the PPR/PSC teams (including supporting departments/supply chain) to expedite and coordinate on-time delivery of orders.
  11. Submit requisite reports on time ensuring accuracy and high standards.
  12. Provide management feedback on local market conditions, including competitor activity, customer trends etc.
  13. Effectively manage KAM relationships and interactions with the Sales Team.
  14. Support the EMEA Retrofits Director and international retrofits team with support and feedback when required.

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

  1. Matric.
  2. Mechanical Engineering Experience in a Similar discipline (Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering advantageous).
  3. Minimum 5 years sales experience.
  4. Minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering environment.

Promote, implement Complex Retrofits.
Promote, implement OHH Retrofit Strategy.
Promote, implement OHX bearing brackets strategy.
Identify Retrofit opportunities in Service Centres.
