Administration
Letters of appointment are drafted according to organisational requirements.
Manual and electronic filing are performed in accordance with required standards.
Invoices are processed according to organisational policy and followed up on as needed.
Change of status requests are handled in line with HR policy.
The recruitment progress report is updated weekly and communicated to management.
Follow up on expiring fixed-term contracts and liaise with relevant line managers regarding renewal or termination.
Payroll input is submitted before or in line with payroll deadlines.
Payroll queries, including S-Cube queries, are submitted to Payroll in a timely manner, and feedback is provided to the relevant staff as needed.
Employee relations
Address employee grievances as per the grievance procedure, mediate conflicts, and ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR-related matters.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
Conduct disciplinary enquiries for employees as per disciplinary policy.
Job evaluations for wage staff are facilitated as per departmental requirements.
Ensure adherence to and communication of applicable wage agreement and terms and conditions of employment for the weekly paid employees.
Recruitment, selection and termination
Manage the recruitment process and coordinate the onboarding process for new engagements. Internal and/or external job advertisements for employees are placed according to departmental requirements and personnel requisition.
Shortlist, panel interviews, and regret letters are actioned as per recruitment policy and procedure.
Conduct recruitment and selection for employees in accordance with company procedures.
All background checks (i.e. criminal, ITC, Qualification, ID verification, etc.) and reference checks are scheduled and coordinated within 1 day of request, and follow-up occurs where required.
Keep records of staff movements, including new engagements, and provide feedback to management. HR manuals, with appendices, for the 1st day of work are prepared by the due date.
Take-on of new employees on their first working day is done as per departmental requirements. Exit processes are conducted as per HR policy.
Team support
General enquiries are handled to customer satisfaction.
General HR support is provided at the Manager’s request.
Experience Required:
5 years experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
