Permanent - Fitter Assistant - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Job Responsibilities

1. Assisting with assembling the various sub-assemblies of a company machine into a working unit.
2. Assisting in moving any piece of company equipment into or out of a working position at a mine site, quarry, or other such location.
3. Assisting Artisan in performing troubleshooting tasks to identify the root cause of any problems being experienced with equipment.
4. Assisting in removing broken or damaged equipment and replacing it with new/repaired equipment.
5. Any other requests regarding work in the company Workshop or at a customer site.
6. Basic fitting skills, i.e., loosening, tightening bolts, replacing damaged parts, cleaning of tools/tooling.
7. Assist Artisan in workshop/site with duties.
8. Be able to pass medical tests for work on mines.
9. Must have worked on mines before.
10. Knowledge of crushing equipment is advantageous.
