The Client

Datacenter People is working with the leading provider of reliable, sustainable and highly connected edge data centers in Europe, with locations in Germany, France, The Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark.

What The Job Involves

1. To operate the Critical Processes to ensure the mitigation of risk to the operation of critical plant and equipment.
2. To follow EOPs and escalate accordingly when an incident occurs.
3. To follow and create MOPs and SOPs.
4. Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
5. Write the statements of work (SOW) to define the scope of service contracts with the vendors/suppliers.
6. Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
7. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
8. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
9. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
10. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
11. Carry out AP duties (training provided) and the issuing of permits to work.
12. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment, including the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
13. To develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and clients.
14. Ensure the professional image of the company is presented to clients at all times.
15. Ensure that all of Company’s security concepts and principles are executed at all times.
16. Supervise and monitor Company's sub-contractors works while they are on site undertaking maintenance.
17. To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
18. Be able to fulfill Standby duty services on a monthly basis in collaboration with the other site DSE’s.

We’re Looking for Someone With

1. A real team player; you enjoy increasing productivity by working together.
2. Experience in the operation of a data center.
3. Experience in main distribution board switching of ACBs.
4. Experience in changing modes of UPS (e.g., start-up, maintenance bypass, Eco-Ess mode, VMMS energy management mode).
5. Knowledge of critical cooling systems and SLAs/KPIs within a critical environment.
6. Knowledge of basic air conditioning and humidity control.
7. Experience in the operation and control of generators and UPS.
8. Experience in use and interrogation of BMS systems in monitoring plant.
9. Practical knowledge of H&S requirements including RAs, Lock out Tag out, and permits to work.
10. Experience in vendor management.
11. Self-motivated and professional manner.
12. Good communication skills (German and English language).
13. Basic knowledge of MS Office applications.
14. Experience with an asset management tool.
