Job description

  4. Able to manage the entire HR and Payroll Dept. with the assistance of the Payroll Admin
  5. Able to take ownership of the role, hit the road running, go the extra mile & put the much-needed time & effort in to get the dept. running smoothly & efficiently

Experience: 10+ years payroll administrator / management experience in a non-corporate working environment

Payroll Skills minimum requirement:

  1. Strong Sage VIP Premier skills, including but not limited to:
  2. Able to setup and manage all the varying aspects of hourly paid staff
  3. Able to utilize a clocking system to manage employee hours, export from clocking system to import into VIP
  4. Familiar with an ESS system
  5. Fully functional to activate leave pay during shutdown period, whilst understanding the effects thereof on the month's figures
  6. Leave Module fully functional and understands the setup and effects thereof
  7. Skills Module
  8. Setup and management of definitions
  9. Reporting fully functional on both Reports and Maintenance, SMART reporting as well as payroll listing and history reporting
  10. MOCs, MC & IC screens etc.
  11. Software updates
  12. Managing of back-ups
  13. Flexi Utility imports and exports
  14. GL exports and is able to understand the effects the VIP transactions have on the accounting side and able to manage this dynamic at the time of the payroll transaction in order to avoid payroll queries
  15. Basically, able to manage the entire VIP payroll system accurately and efficiently
  16. MEIBC and MIBFA experience essential
  17. Management of all third-parties - payments, submissions, correspondence, applications, resignations etc.
  18. RMA Annual returns
  19. Biannual EMP on VIP and Easyfile
  20. Stats SA Questionnaires

HR Skills Minimum requirement:

  1. BCEA / MEIBC updates and adherence
  2. Employment contracts
  3. Company Policies & rules (Management)
  4. Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
  5. Employee benefits (Preferential)
  6. The role will include the involvement / management of:
  7. Employment equity
  8. Workplace skills plan (WSP)
  9. Annual training reports (ATR)
  10. Health and Safety standards
  11. Legislation such as POPIA / FPAA / cybercrimes act etc.
  12. Employee wellness
  13. Disciplinary code & procedures / conflicts / grievances
  14. Recruitment / Talent retention / career planning
  15. Job descriptions / grading

Computer Literacy essential: Sage VIP Premier (non-negotiable), MS Office especially Outlook and Excel (non-negotiable), Clocking system (Preferably Uniclox or equivalent)
