Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Job Type: Full-Time, 08:30 - 17:30

Location: Onsite, Pinelands Cape Town

MCI is a leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company that specializes in delivering tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to join our team, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing using Pastel Payroll and ESS. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration within a high-volume environment and possess strong attention to detail and communication skills.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of payroll data for monthly runs using Pastel Payroll and ESS.
  • Prepare and upload payroll data, adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
  • Manage payroll queries via shared email, responding efficiently to employee inquiries.
  • Maintain confidential payroll records in coordination with HR.
  • Generate and provide payroll reports for management.
  • Support HR with additional tasks related to BEE and Occupational Health & Safety.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Payroll or Accounting Certificate/Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll administration experience, ideally within a BPO environment.
  • Proficiency with Pastel Payroll and ESS.
  • Understanding of local tax regulations, benefits, and deductions.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and company policies related to payroll, such as overtime calculations, bonuses, leave management, and retirement funds.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Volume payroll administration experience is essential.

  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.
  • Must be willing to submit to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
