The main purpose of the job is Sale of parts, liaison with customers and H&S Coordination.

Reporting: This position reports to Parts Manager.

Job Objectives:

Client liaison – Build good relationship between Company and Customer.

1. Receive sales order from client.
2. Timeous processing of parts sales.
3. Preparation of quotes and invoices.
4. Quotes, customer orders & invoices are correctly filed at all times.
5. Ordering urgent orders from central warehouse.
6. Invoice register up to date at all times.
7. Distributing back order parts to relevant customer.
8. Parts catalogue up to date at all times.
9. Monitoring delivery and collection of parts to customers.
10. Monitoring picking of customer invoices.
11. Follow up on V.O.R orders from customers and give feedback.
12. Filing of quotes, customer orders and invoices.
13. Control of invoice register.
14. Assisting with stock take procedures.
15. Overtime and Standby.
16. Updating and maintenance on all Parts Catalogues.
17. Assisting in all parts operations where requested.
18. Create and maintain Customer Base.
19. Daily follow-up on customers.
20. Obtaining of new customers.

Compliance to ISO 9001 and Safety.

1. All processes in your area of responsibility are following ISO standard.
2. Ensure the safety process are followed.
3. Ensure the Safety Act and Regulation is adhered to.
4. Provide assistance to Warehouse Supervisor/Controller when required.
5. Perform costing of job cards.

The Parts Sales person is responsible to maintain process within the Parts Department:

1. To meet the set business goals within the Department.
2. To manage his actions and business dealings according to the Volvo Way.
3. To utilise available systems to achieve optimal business performance.
4. To raise awareness of the Volvo brand and promote the brand image.
5. The job holder can expect adequate resources, objectives, professional guidance and support.
6. Volvo provide guidelines in terms of the Volvo Culture and Leadership the Volvo Way.

Qualification & Job Experience

1. Matric.
2. Computer Literate.
3. Technical background would be an advantage.
4. Previous experience in a Parts Retail environment.
5. Customer skills, friendly, get on well with people.
6. Neat, confident, self-motivated and honest.
7. Good admin and organizational skills as well as the ability to pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines.
8. Must be able to work under pressure.
