Part-time Financial Controller

Job Description
We are seeking a part-time Financial Controller for approx 10 hours per week, who will be responsible for the overall financial health and performance of the organisation. This role involves managing the budget, analysing financial data, mitigating risks, overseeing accounting operations, and providing financial support to projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and a proven track record in financial management. This is a part-time, in-office position R250 per hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing the organisation's budget and ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively
2. Monitoring and analysing financial performance and providing regular financial reports to senior management
3. Identifying and mitigating financial risks
4. Overseeing accounting and financial reporting activities
5. Delivering project budgets
6. Bridging the communication and project administration gap between Finance and Operations
7. Ensuring project documentation is completed

Requirements:

1. Relevant finance qualification will be advantageous but not essential. Experience is more required
2. Excel, Microsoft Office, Smart Edge, Cloud Accounting software experience
3. Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
