Paint Process Technician

Paint Process Technician required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Rosslyn, Gauteng.

Requirements:

1. Majoring in polymer materials and engineering, chemical engineering and process, or electromechanical related majors.
2. More than two years of on-site automotive related painting process experience.
3. Able to independently analyze and solve on-site problems.
4. Engineering Diploma/Degree.
5. Strong problem-solving skills.
6. Experience working with Durr robots.
7. Knowledge of IATF16949/ISO14001 system standards and relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Guide the technician to adjust and optimize the process to ensure stable production of the product.
2. Promote the continuous improvement of mass production products and achieve IPI indicators (RFT/pass rate/beat, etc.).
3. Analyze related problems raised by internal and external customers, and track the progress and results.
4. Summarize the experience of solving difficult process problems on-site.
5. Assist in the process formulation and development of new projects, cooperating with the project team to complete early process development of the product and reach mass production targets.
6. Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with YFPO standards and work with SQE to manage related suppliers.
7. Responsible for the implementation and review of painting process related codes, specifications, and standards; update BOM data to ensure accuracy.
8. Assist the painting platform to collect data, participate in platform activities, and share and promote highlights.
9. Assist in the development, application, and promotion of new technology of the painting platform.
10. Master the basic operation of painting process technician.
11. Actively complete tasks assigned by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Engineering Manager.
