Paint Process Engineer

Paint Process Engineer required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in Pretoria, Gauteng.

Requirements:

• Majoring in polymer materials and engineering, chemical engineering and process, electromechanical related majors.
• More than two years of on-site automotive related painting process experience, able to independently analyze and solve on-site problems.
• Engineering Diploma/Degree.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with Durr robots.
• Knowledge of IATF16949/ISO14001 system standards and relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Guide technicians to adjust and optimize processes to ensure stable production of products.
• Promote continuous improvement of mass production products, achieving IPI indicators (RFT/pass rate/beat, etc.).
• Analyze related problems raised by internal and external customers, track progress and results, and summarize experiences in solving difficult process problems on-site.
• Assist in the formulation and development of processes for new projects, cooperating with the project team to complete early process development and achieve mass production targets.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with YFPO standards and collaborate with SQE to manage related suppliers.
• Implement and review painting process-related codes, specifications, and standards; update BOM data to ensure accuracy.
• Assist the painting platform in data collection, participate in platform activities, and promote highlights; aid in the development, application, and promotion of new technology for the painting platform.
• Master the basic operations of painting process technicians.
• Actively complete tasks assigned by the Engineer-in-Charge and the Engineering Manager.
